Loaded this morning in Port Deposit, MD going out to Mesa, AZ.

Probably reloading in Phoenix going over to Dallas area with one of our loads. Then up to KC with another one of our loads from around Dallas.

Unfortunately the pit I loaded at wouldn't let me leave over 80,000. Of course it pays by the ton..

Some of our stuff is flat rate...

I haven't pulled a dump wagon in 15 years, and didn't run OTR then . But the local sand ,gravel pits had stopped letting anyone out of the pits with more than 80,000 on board back then. Which put a serious crimp in everyone's payday, I always blamed the change on ithe potential nsurance liability

Where I load they won’t let anyone out over the state limit of 85,000 for backroads or 80,000 for big road.

About 15 years ago or so the state started going after shippers that chronically overloaded. I’d also been told of the liability part when I pulled flatbed

Welp got my truck back yesterday. No loads till mid monday though. Sure is nice to see this though

Been a while since ive not had any check engine lights. Also seems to have smoothed out the engine rough idle issues amd he fixed my exhaust leak while he was at it. Dude at the shop scared the #### out of me when he turned it on after the ECM update though. The dust cloud of all the "repair" particulate and rough start while they custom tuned it made it look and sound like the engine blew for a moment. They also made sure my gods awful radar wont be an issue anymore which is a godsend.

What’s that icon under the menu screen? Is that supposed to be someone wearing a hat?

Oh that, its the "drivers reward" software that came with the truck. If enabled it would punish me for being wasteful with fuel by cutting my power and top speed and reward me over X mpg by letting me go faster and giving me extra power. It also forced the truck to shut off after 1 minute of idle

Its been disabled since about 10 mins after i bought the truck.

We're permitted for 88K in Florida and Alabama, I don't run to Alabama anymore but when I did I never fooled with the heavy loads, to each their own but I'd rather get on the big road and roll. I'll haul 88K in Florida, one, because a lot of our customers order it, and two, Florida has a good turnpike system which you are allowed to run on because they're a state road and don't fall under the blanket of an interstate system.

Another busy week here, glad to see you back in your truck @Arctic_fox and safe travels to you @Tall Mike that's quite the ride. @motocross25 hope things are working out well for you on the other side. I've got 2 weeks of work ahead of me and then I'm taking off for Nashville for Christmas, definitely looking forward to that.

I'm back home in NY won't be going back to KC. After the newness wore off and I was able to see behind the scenes, TP isn't a place that I want to call home. I never got thru one week w/o some sort of trailer issue and its resulting down time. That is not an easy place to work and its pretty clear now as to why they are hiring for basically every position within the company. Not sure what my next move is but I'll have to find something fairly quickly.

    Be safe out there.
