Don’t worry. I worked for a mega that’s no big deal. I was parked and a fellow driver from the same company pretty new backed in to the spot next to me and side swiped my sleeper with tail swing. Saw him acouple months later they just talked safety with him and had him watch a video. He was good to go. This was when there was not as much of a driver shortage either. Sounds like it really wasn’t your fault so I think your trainer will likely put his input in which should improve your situation.
Accident while in training, will I be fired?

I'm doing Great Lakes Region now, and I love it.
No east or west coast, no southern stuff either. Just upper mid-west.
I'm getting to Lawrenceburg, KY tomorrow, which is actually just outside my region, or maybe at the very edge.
But that is as far east or south that I can go.
Nothing east of OH, nothing south of MO, nothing west of NE or the eastern part of ND and SD.pumpkinishere Thanks this. -

Next time stay more aware of cars around you and if you see a situation where a car is boxing you in, like this car did, do not move that truck. Last thing you want is to hit that car. Pop the brakes if you have to and get out and ask the driver to move.
gentleroger, Mwarren89 and OldeSkool Thank this. -

You said the "Trainer" observed the incident and said "stop". Did he/she not observe the auto trying to come into the driveway and caution you to watch out. That is his/her job. I think he/she should also appear at the Safety meeting and take his/her part of the blame.
And if a company wants to fire you over such a minor incident, do you really want to work for this company. After all, you are a "TRAINEE".sevenmph, Trucker61016 and Mwarren89 Thank this. -
