I hear it's a pretty big issue with lot of the companies. I'm a linehaul driver for OD, when I ran city it was rare to have damaged freight. We have some good dock workers that have been around for years. They pay them good too tho.

I've watched our guys unloading the trailers, and even though they use those second level racks, sometimes they stack stuff that should not be stacked.
That and the terminal's floor space being too small.
And not jumping on repairing damage to the trailers' inside walls, which ends up ripping cardboard boxes.
And, sometimes the driver not paying attention to what the customer is loading on a pickup, and not throwing a strap when he/she should have.
