Just my take, nothing more, but I’ve heard Bison described by many, many more than one driver in terms that would usually be associated with the bottom feeders we’re all familiar with.
I hope that won’t be the case. Good luck.Another Canadian driver, seawind, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -

Hi guys, I work in Bison transport from Mississauga (Ontario) location from last 7yrs. Trust me, Bison is one of the most respected trucking companies here.
Thy listen to employees, pays fairly, respects home time, no forced dispatch. They even have fired some managers bcos they didn't mind the employees properly. You can find too many drivers joined there working after 10s of years and many got their own truck and put to work at Bison.
Their company trucks are limited at 100kmh (62mil) and O/o trucks at 65mils. They always wins the best fleet in North America for safety (check news). They allowed HO.Wolding and Britton guys to continue what they are doing and I see a lot of them hauling their trailers and them hauling Bison trailers in Canada. That means more miles and more money by international hauling for those interested!
Being from Canada as their trucks are speed limited, I find only that as a bad thing with Bison. Company trucks are the 'short nosed' Cascadias (if not volvos) to save fuel which gives less power in canadian mountains with heavy loads. But that won't affect the the companies undertaken by them. They maintain their fleet excellently and gets immediate roadside support.
Im just happy bcos its a no pressure job for me. I don't think you should be worried, get your passport ready if you want some extra miles with higher pay. Cheers!Another Canadian driver, Moving Forward, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this. -
Spare them atleast in this one! In Canada Bison trucks are seen on highways very very frequent than other carriers.

I read the article about the accident and from what it said Bison wasn't to blame.

Nothing to worry.
I sure can't speak about the US side. As both companies, H. O. Wolding and Britton were operated on their own.
There seems to be some change happen as of January 1st.
Bison usually communicates any new acquisitions with existing staff. It didn't happen yet. The deal might not been finished or takes place at a later time.
I'm based out of Winnipeg, running US and Canada. I'm here for 14 years now. In every company are rainy days. But I don't see any reason for me to leave.
To the comment, that the safety culture took a nosedive since Richardson took over: the message from our management and safety department is still the same.
Sure we see more trucks involved in accidents than we wish to see. But it's not caused by operation or dispatch, simply drivers made the wrong decisions and didn't use "the right to decide" policy. And that's printed in big fat letters in every message or mail we receive.Another Canadian driver, Moving Forward and Lonesome Thank this. -

I'm honestly not sure if they wanted this news to even spread. But it's the internet. Someone probably already posted about it on Facebook a dozen times
Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
