Yeah it takes some doing for sure..
Was interested in run'n a FL spec end dump.
Seen alot of single screws doing it pulling tandem & tri axles buckets. Can't never get them guys on a radio..
One day loading a front end loader bucket at Blue Water in Florida City I got to talking with a few. Said they were running hard & grossing $350 a day, $400 if they could get that 8th load in.Then wrench on the pile all weekend..
I abruptly ended the conversation..

I just wish that I was telling you guys that the thing is great and saving a ton of money in fuel but it's too early to know how it will affect fuel consumption. A serious boost in fuel economy is about the only thing that would constitute a consolation prize at this point.
I probably ended up with some epa touted low Nox file to top it all off...
I'm just unhappy with the product and my experience with the staff so I don't have anything positive to say about it at this time.beastr123, Lostkeys, Swine hauler and 9 others Thank this. -

Tech comes and looks at the tire and sees nothing wrong. I open the hood. “Hey, your tread is separating!” Great, he’s a genius. He types on the computer. I go stand in line at the counter to get the fat girl to check her computer notes, she calls Breakdown. Breakdown asks if she things the tire will make it to GaryIN. She types a note to genius. Genius has to look at the tire again. He sends fatty a note saying NO. I stand in line again to get fatty to check her notes and she calls breakdown. Breakdown wants to know if the tire will pass a DOT inspection. Fatty sends a note to genius, genius types in NO, I stand in line again to get fatty to check her notes, fatty once again calls breakdown and now breakdown wants a picture of the tire. 8 hours wasted.
My dispatcher found out that I was looking to buy my own truck and so he had me come in and talk to some lady in the office about it. She was going to try to sell me on a lease purchase. “You do well as a company driver, why do you want to be an owner operator?”
Because it takes out 90% of the stupidity in your daily conversations.
When you own the truck, you do not have to play phone tag with anyone. Office people THINK they can do their job, but they can’t. Sending an email is not doing your job. When you own the truck, even leased on to a big company, you make ALL decisions. I set the crane appointment, I talk to the shipper and receiver, I choose the load. I choose the route.
No handholding, no cattle prods, no beancounter spec’d detuned POS semi, no greydog bus when we part ways.
Simplest form of trucking there is. -
Something is definitely wrong with the tune that it flashed to your ecm. If you ever go to UT you could take it to their shop. If nothing else, get the satisfaction of cramming it down the salesman's throat.
Might be able to ask around with their distributors, maybe someone has a solution. Man this just pisses me off. At the least, they should be offering a full refund and return the engine to stock.
I know one thing, they won't get anymore business from me.
Edit: Dude that said you could use a vacation, needs to be strung up and repeatedly kicked in the nuts. -
