ESTES Express (5 Year Review)

Too much work for me. @KaoMinerva is getting ready to come that way to clean it up over there.

 

Kao ain't ready.

 

I only lasted three months running out of 179 for Estes. I'd get the miles, sure. 2800ish per week, but too many #### stops. Managed to get halfway through a 2nd trip sheet in one week.

Moved to AZ and working for a different company, but I might try reapplying out here if things don't work out. I hear it's way better out west

179 is Chicopee, MA. Spent a lot of time bouncing between there and the terminals out towards Boston, Jersey City, North Bergen... There was one night I had to cross the GWB 3 times. If I wasn't stuck in New England I was struggling on hills in Pennsylvania. That accounts for like 90% of my driving in the three months I was there.

 

That was my experience as well, on the extra board for 10.5 months out of Richmond VA 001. Still there, on a schedule for now. Best $$$ I've ever made for the amount of time & effort. @KaoMinerva good thread man, spot-on. Freighthauler87 on YouTube has good info as well

 

@KaoMinerva are yall seeing any increase on freight since central freight is closing down.

I hope Mr Estes only buys central's linehaul trailers since the tractors for the most part are in such poor shape.
