I looked at a truck for purchase... it’s “idle mgmt” light was out. Also I checked

I looked at 2015 113 cascadia with fault 5 spn 925 eng 0... it’s “idle mgmt” light was out. However, I checked code with this link ...Cancomm Web Administration.
It states”Digital Output 3/17 Open Circuit (broken wire, terminal floating)”

Hello everyone, I’m facing the same problem with my 2015 freightliner Cascadia, Both the check engine lights are on when I check in the Diagnostics the codes I get I have attached the pictures, if anyone can help guide me what to do or where to go it will be much appreciated ( I’m from Indiana) any mechanic that can fix this issue I can go to him. Thanks

Replace the optimize idle alarm unit, like I did. Get one at freightliner, it's like 25 bucks and it takes 5 minutes to replace, very easy to do it yourself

    Japp Thanks this.

the optimize idle doesn’t work in my truck the person who had it before me deleted it, so should I still get the alarm unit and replace it?

I'm guessing the engine control unit is still finding the fault in the alarm even though the optimized idle is disabled. I guess you can either replace the alarm or just ignore the check engine lights because they don't indicate anything actually bad. I wouldn't recommend that though, if something bad actually happens and you get a real important check engine light, you won't notice

Also, with the gas prices these days, unless you have an APU, maybe consider turning the optimized idle back on? You can save a lot of money in the summer...
