Getting Towed 2014 Volvo 670 I shift with 53’ dryvan attached need info

Well an update today. I can confirm that it did do some kind of damage. The Volvo dealer put the drive shaft back in and it would not move. They are gonna have to drop the transmission and figure out what the damage is. Called Tow company and maybe getting the run around with being able to talk to someone like
Management or owner.

I have Volvo on board and have plenty of evidence to prove what they did. I am flying back home tomorrow as they said it would be a couple weeks at least. I can’t do much until Monday at this point. Sent my insurance agent a message and also talked to the sister company in kcmo that I know very well.

hopefully it doesn’t come down to gettin a lawyer involved. Right now I am only asking for them to pay and fix the transmission and nothing else. If I have to get a lawyer involved then I am going for it all including lost revenue.

I normally am a very easy going and do not expect anything in regards to money from someone else. But the cost of just the transmission can be 23k and I sure as hell am not gonna let someone run me over like this.

Not sure what you mean? The transmission is not under warranty and I am sure they would not cover it if it was. At this point I would not trust the tow company to do anything on my truck. I have been getting the run around with just trying to talk to a manager or owner. Gonna guess that I will need to get a lawyer involved next week.

 

I have a call into him as well. Hopefully he can get the ball rolling. I did not think about it till late this afternoon and he was already gone. Monday morning I should be able to go talk to him in person.

 

If that doesn’t work will call OOIDA and see what they can do to help on lawyer. They are right down the road from me so might just drive over. Surely they have lawyers in mind that handle that type of stuff. I also have a really good lawyer for other stuff that she might take it on as well. She is a tuff one to beat and will take everything she can.

 

I completely agree. I had a 500-800$ issue and paid $750 for tow. Now I have a $24,000 issue most likely. Will never understand how this happens. The dealer said this is as very old news and there paperwork out the butt that confirm this. So they are not gonna be able to get around it.

plus like I said earlier I have a video confession from the driver and pictures and video of the issue. Not gonna take much to win this case if they want to play games with me.

 

Yes it may come down to that as well. I think I now have a contact with the company but will see in the next few days. Claims they will take care of it as well. Not gonna hold my breath but I hope the person was being honest so we can just get it done. I really don't want to get a lawyer involved and just need the truck fixed so I can get back to work. I don't mind making my own money so I am not worried about lost time if they do the right thing. Will hopefully find something out by end of next week with quote and having an agreement in place.
