Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0

That seems pretty likely to me. I know my kids all asked for gift cards from a variety of places. I mean obviously, they asked for a specific real items as well, but there’s plenty of places that they’re getting gift cards for.

 

Got another "receiver won't unload" situation.
Booked a straight through hot automotive load on Thursday night. Even said "expedite" on the Bol lol.
Friday at 3pm still have not been unloaded. Receiving told me, that I most likely wont get unloaded anytime soon, since parts on my truck are not due till Monday.
Went home, Monday has passed and still no calls from receiver or broker.

Sometimes I wanna sell my spare truck and trailer, but then something like this happens.
They are probably gonna call me in the middle of the night one time, freaking out that Chrysler plant is about to shut down, because parts from my trailer are not there

 

I was more argumentative than I should have been when I wasn’t understanding where Joe was coming from. I took off and went camping and riding bike for a week and stepped away from social media. Sorry for derailing the thread for a few days when I should’ve just left it alone.

Joe wouldn’t know how to act if he never got any push back.

Some people talk crap on this thread but it’s IMO one of the best on TTR. Glad you got some down time and rest.

Correct me if I’m wrong Mr Tall Joe, but I’m pretty sure you know any of us would be there for you in a second.

 

I would but not if he was home (Chicago).....lol. Actually, I love to visit Chicago but not in a truck. I don't go near the place in a truck.

 

I think Joe knows we all hold him in high regard. We're all products of our upbringing, and Joe definitely had a different upbringing than the rest of us did. We're all allowed to disagree with friends and family and still remain friends. Life would be boring if we never disagreed about anything.

 

Never mind me fellows. I am the biggest hypocrite on the site. Truth is, I love money as anyone else.

*OP Update*

I was texting with Scooter Jones earlier and he said today marks 1 year exactly since parking the truck. Said it’s the best decision he ever made!

As far as I know he still has all of the equipment still but is shutting down or selling the MC as the other business continues to thrive.

 

I’ve had thoughts of parking the truck and flip cars for awhile. If I sell one more car this year I’ll technically need a dealers license.
