So according to everything I've read. Here's the plan:
    No more owner ops
    No more combustion
You wake up in the a.m. goto work. Get in your electric truck. Go load crap around town. Take that crap to the central terminal. There it is put on the appropriate trailers. Then that trailer is hooked to a driverless truck that is also electric. Then that truck drives itself to the next terminal. Where whatever is needed is taken off/on. That truck is put on the charger. Local guys deliver what needs delivered. What needs to be sent down the line is sent with a fresh driverless truck. Then you plug in your truck at the end of the day and go home.

Driverless trucks have been around in earnest for about 5ish years now. You will see them going down the road on the I10 corridor. They have drivers, but the drivers don't drive....they just hang out in case of emergency.

    You know…

After a long day the last thing I want to hear when I walk into a restaurant is three toddlers, each crying, and possibly making each other cry.

But it’s the Holiday Season so I’m supposed to just smile and compliment the cute kid that’s drooling and pooping all over the place. Ahhhh. #### it.

we’re pointing her towards the house after a reset in effingham tomorrow

When it comes to hot peppers n stuff...

There's definitely (according to taste...) a balance between flavor and hot just for the sake of hot. I'm not a fan of hot just for the sake of it. No point in eating something if you can't taste anything on account of your mouth burning up.

When my sister was up visiting for Thanksgiving, she'd brought some home made salsa. She didn't know I'd already tried both and pointed out which container was mild and which one was "hot". Said she made the hot salsa with habanero.

I said "Oh, I thought they were both mild"

With the look on her face one could have though I'd just insulted her very existence....

Have seen both freightliner and International trucks with all sorts of sensors and cameras hanging off them. The Freightliners are all plastered with “Autonomous operations technologies” they do have a human in the seat.

For whatever reason, Arizona seems to be the epicenter of the driverless thing. I think Arizona is supposed to be pretty liberal with their permitting process I guess.
