What if it Snows?

I sprinkle a teaspoon of salmonella on my cereal in the morning. Puts a hard candy shell around your liver and keeps it from popping and lighting on fire.

 

I dropped the front driveshaft out of my other truck and took it to be rebuilt. It was heavy, but doable.

Came time to do the short little ####### in the back and I thought, "Piece of cake".

Nope, those SOB's are made of lead, depleted uranium, and two or three Jupiter-sized planets that have been squished down by a blackhole. I had a heck of a time getting it bolted back up by myself with my mostly useless left arm.

 

In other news, I got a bug up my butt to buy a pair of four-wheel ATV's yesterday. So, the wife and I jump in the car and head down to our local Honda dealer. We walk in, and it's like Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard in there. They had NOTHING. A couple of motorcycles, some generators and that was it. No ATV's of any kind. The sales girl said, "I don't know, we might get some next month." And that was it.

Polaris dealer in town, same deal... empty except for a few lawn mowers.

Head toward Dothan and start making phone calls all around south Alabama and northern Florida. Nothing. Anywhere.

Ended up in Enterprise at a Polaris dealer. Had to order them and it'll take two months for them to be built. Thankfully, they're assembled right here in Alabama, so hopefully they have enough parts to get them done without having to wait on a boat from China.

 

It's the same up here, people have gone nuts buying recreational vehicles. Nothing at the dealerships, prices for snowmobiles, ATVs, and motorcycles have gone through the roof. People asking more money for 2-3 year old machines than they are worth brand new. Dealers can't keep anything in stock because people just buy new instead of paying inflated used prices.

 

LOL, if they can't put the Smart phone down, How would they possibly refrain from the temptation.

Last week, Tesla announced it would disable a feature allowing the driver and passengers to play video games on center touch screens while cars are being driven. The move came after the NHTSA said it would launch a formal investigation into distracted driving concerns.

 

I'm still in Winston-Salem NC.

That head cold I thought I had turned out to be the flu (as in seasonal, not "The Flu", aka "Wuhan Surprise").

The fever broke last night, and I managed to heat up a can of soup today and eat it, and it tasted good.

Missus Skillet is sick, also. She told me not to worry, she has plenty of food in the house, and she's getting lots of rest and fluids.

I'm resting up today, I hope to head home tomorrow.
