Better question is whether there are situations while on the road when someone wished they had a gun.
Are you allowed to have a gun in your truck?

So what would be the most lethal & legal type of protection one could carry?

So, in order for the gun to be carried legally, the gun has to be in one compartment and the amo in another.
By the time you get the gun from its compartment and the amo in the gun, the guy has already gotten what he came for and you're probably already dead. -

Louisiana is an open carry state for example. Anyone (who is a resident of the state) 21 years or older can legally carry openly as long as you are legally allowed by law to own & possess a hand gun... in a truck or anywhere else, as long as you dont take it to a location that is forbidden like a school, federal building etc.... or any place that requests that you not bring a gun on their property. So, in states like La... you can have a full mag & one in the chamber as long as you are legally allowed by law to own & possess a hand gun.
And if you have a CCP, it can legally be concealed on your person. Yes, even in a big truck.Last edited: Jan 7, 2022
