If one axle is sitting on air ride and the other is sitting on the locks your weights will not be distributed evenly on the tandems and the ports here will notice and throw the trailer out of service, (30k on one axle, 4k on the other, ect.). Have to go throw a bottle jack under the front axle many times to get weight off the sureloks and get them to kick back out.

I never noticed them before either. So, to recap, when getting loaded/unloaded at a dock, should we keep the red trailer knob IN or OUT?

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

You aren't gonna have a choice a lot of places. They ask you to pull your red airline and they put a glad hand lock on it for their safety, so you can't pull out before they are done. I don't love this but it is one of the few dock rules I do understand.

I'd much rather do this than the docks that want you to completely unhook and pull forward a few feet.

I usually just put my tandems all the way back and set the spring brakes. I guess this will add some support to the air bags. I never noticed those supports either.

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.
