So I take it that JBH promises and doesn't deliver. Wow! Alot of people nowadays just want to work. It would seem because of this why these bottom feeding companies would feed off them. That's a SHAME! I was considering a truck driving career. But now I'm quess I'm not.

It seems once a person gets smart as to their position in a OTR company, the OTR company responds by destroying their career or lively hood. Thats WRONG! It's a miracle that things have been going on like this for years. How low has the industry lowered itself? Remarkable..

Good point. So don't become a driver then. So long Croosbronx. :biggrin_25512:

This thread had been dead for almost a year, before you put in your one cent.

I would be interested at some point ...

Have you built a case and kept records?

The only problem I can see is that the contract is pretty thorough, and even tough it sucks - they do spell out all the major points B4 you sign.

One problem I can see is them taking out for fuel beyond the current pay period - in other words, charging for next weeks fuel on the current pay period if the money is available.

Weekly pay (if at all) , not daily settlements with them.

I bet this is the cause of so many drivers going broke with them at this point.

Why are we still discussing a thread that is over a year old?

We're discussing the company - not the thread.

I worked for J.B. Hunt for 2 solid years. They treated me well. Averaged 2200 miles a week at .39 cents per mile, plus went home for 2 days every week.
I worked out of the Chicago intermodel division. I would always go home the day that I was scheduled even if they had to dead head me. My Fleet manager was very good. I have nothing bad to say about them at all. My advise to any new drivers always do your best to please your fleet manager it will help you way more than it will hurt u, also leave the attitude at home.

Funny how people that claimed they were treated well at JB Hunt are aways "former" employees. Why aren't you still with them if they are so great?
