Go to YouTube and search Freightliner rear spring bushing replacement.
You will see how it is done WITH OUT removing the spring from the truck.
    Is really quite simple.

There are presses that are made for the job but many people build there own.
As you can see though there is no need to take the springs out of the truck and get involved in replacing things you don’t need to.
At this point I think you should contact MD alignment.
They are a network of shops with an old school mentality.
Any of the ones that I have been to have the tools to replace the bushings right on the truck and there alignments are top notch.
A quick search on their site shows 11 independent shops certified In Wisconsin with the md system.
It seems there should be one with in reach of where you are?
Just give one a call usually real helpful on the phone also.

InTooDeep, Magoo1968 and TowHaul Thank this.

all the MD Alignment shops are around 2 hours or more away from me. One a sie note i hear a "popping" noise when making turns in the front end of my truck. Is this from the front end bushings being bad also?

Two hours that will be well worth the ride and money saved.

hey Hulld, the popping noise in the front... could that be the front bushings? when i take a corner (usually low speed) i hear a popping noise in the front sounds like around the linkage.
