The only time I ever did was last February when we had the crazy storm in Oklahoma with sustained-20 to -30 wind chills and I was home for the weekend. It's usually only an issue if you're on home time and the truck is going to be shut off for quite a while, but if you are somewhere expecting extreme temps and aren't sure, give the shop a call

Taking a 34 here in the middle of MO. Not fond of a 34 in the middle of no where.
Much rather be at a yard or someplace to visit friends/family or just be able to BT around some city to run errands or go to a theater/casino.
but ya, sometimes hanging out at some random Loves, P/FJ, or P/TA is what’s required.
oh well, it happens.
welcome to trucking.
hope everyone else is having an awesome day. {leaves truck to wander the lot}cdavis188, Trucker Paul, runningman0661 and 4 others Thank this. -

Seems we have a new Pet Policy here at FCC.
A bit restrictive in the areas of size and breed with a strange kenneling provision while driving but that’s probably Corp CYA language.
But overall a good move.
Now, just wish my little ball of fur actually enjoyed riding in the Big Truck. {shrug} -
Hey guys I have been lurking on this thread awhile. I’ve contributed some, almost nothing but I wanted to say hi and I’ll be the new shag driver in KC. It all came about pretty fast they had an ad up saying “immediate hire needed”, I called on it and it sounded pretty good. They said they got a quite a few applications but nothing that impressed them and encouraged me to apply if I liked what I heard. I did and they called me 3 hours later offering me the position. Apparently they don’t mess around up in Fremont. Anyway, I know it sounds silly but I’m 36 and have been doing road work most of my driving career since I was 20, so I’m kinda looking forward to being local and home everyday. Welp that’s it just wanted to say hi and kind of “introduce” myself. Oh one question I do have is are they still using the drop lot off Manchester Trafficway? I know he said they got a new one but it was a whirlwind of info and I never back tracked to ask if that was the new one, or new yet again.
