It’s depends on what you use your truck fir and what rpm you going to drive in your high gear.
    I HAVE ATTACHED A PICTURE
Performance series you can expect to get a fuel economy from that motor itbuild to pull heavy haul higher RPM above 1350 on your high gear doesn’t make a sense you driving lower RPM and try to save fuel. it’s going to take same
(Economy )series its build to have a economy as picture show drive on lower RPM you can take out a fuel as much as you want depends on your drive.
(Productivity series) it comes with 2 hardware efficiency and performance up to you to choose if you choose economy series you can change through ECM power terrain on truck what you want economy or power but you have to be careful about the RPM if they go higher 1350 non of the motor you can have fuel economy. All of them will be balanced power.

What engine did you end up going with? I’m looking at ordering the x15 efficiency with the same spec.

I have same issue 1350 rpm -1500 mostly in 17 gear when pulling hard. Cummins says run it. x15 performance all are noisy, they say! Had the bunk heater hose leak too! Must have been a lazy union feller.

I guess your not running produce! There is a reason why the mega spec trucks and mega sec drivers are not found getting loaded in the sheds with produce. You got to be able to run that produce. If perishes every hour..
you got to be able to move. Fuel Econ is of no concern. Time and quality. It pays for this service, but only those that have the equipment and expertise to ensure product is take on in high quality and taken off on time.

It will pull like 400hp should. At 80k, you'll be running your 4ways uphill. But it takes time to sit in line at the fuel pump. As the old timers used to say about high hp. It'll pass everything but the fuel station.
Basically, if you're already planning on hp change before you even buy the truck, it'll be a whole lot easier and cheaper to change the truck. IMO.

Thanks for the response, I was only mentioning the hp/tq change if in the event it wasn't enough. From what I was told at the dealer it was a matter of changing perimeters in the ecu with no hardware changes just wanted to confirm this.
