What to do if you break down in a no cell service area with no CB

That's a testament for keeping up on your maintenance program.

A driver with similar miles under their belt but with a lack of attention to maintenance would probably have a long list of breakdowns in BFE.

 

Broke down several times out in BFE east Texas. Passing motorists stopped and let me use their fone. Couple other times had enough signal to barely squeak out a text message to boss - Send help broke down !

 

I try my best...the truck I drive is a 1981 model & I have owned & drove it since 1998.. it helps when there's no emissions or electric crap to deal with. duct tape and tie wire works wonders when you gota try & limp to a town with a parts store .

 

Now that you know this is a possibility, will you buy a CB and switch your cell service from NoConnect, Inc to Verizon? You should.

 

Nobody uses the CB anyway. You can beg for help all you want you’ll be screaming into the abyss

That is not true at all

 

You might not use it. But many of us still use them. So might want to refrain from absolutes.

 

Setting something on fire is actually a pretty good idea. Keeps you warm and you can just about guarantee any person who sees the fire will call 911. Of course you may have some explaining to do when they get there. LOL

 

Just remember. If you are on that road. Then leo will be as well. They'd typically stop by to check on you. But having a CB can help.
