Have you thought of building it back to a 335? My 1st truck had a warm 335, it did pretty good….

If my memory is correct….. the 350 came to be from add ons to a 335….

So, it seems I need to pull the cam followers off to see what gasket is used?

I’ve got a guy a couple miles from me who has a big truck salvage yard. Been in the business his whole life and actually put this 290 in the truck years ago, in replacement of a 8v71. He told me that he wouldn’t mess with adding an aftercooler, as I wouldn’t gain much. He stated the cam is the limiting factor on those engines. Any truth to that?

CPL #s 0021 and 0160 were good small cam NTC 350 engines. Timed at -.041"
