And remember, put diesel in it.
-
That too. Even if gas is cheaper.

Oh okay. I was going to ask if you guys were serious about it, even if you wouldn’t do it based on your current standards, but I got my answer.

$1000 a day better be 8 hours/200 miles at most, add in multi stops and off loading the whole trailer I don’t think I’d even do if for 2 when you can do close to that off a load board with no labor right now.
Vampire Thanks this. -
There's 100 mile van loads paying a $1000 on the board. One and one.
Run for the hills if they offering that cheap freight for hellish work.Vampire and shooter19802003 Thank this. -
Not trying to give you a hard time but people come here for honest advice from actual owner operators. When you aren't one and comment it sends mixed messages and can cause harm. Too many people are dispensing advice that's not based on true experience. Imagine getting surgical advice from a lawyer. Keep that in mind.Vampire Thanks this.

They have an owner operator forum for people asking specific questions of that nature. They have a forum to ask experienced drivers. The other forums are conversations about topics. I didn’t know that I had to be approved by the united federation of truck drivers to say “hey that sounds like good money to ME and I’d do it as a startup”, which is what I said, right? Oh okay.
How do you vet posters? Once I start driving, is there an email where I send my credentials and my driving record? How did they certify you? -
1000bucks for a 500 mile rounder you unload I'm a broker and that is not a good rate in 2022

Nobody is picking on you here. You asked for help and you got a lot of great information and advice.
Just because you don't like the way it was presented doesn't mean it's not valid.
This isn't Cub Scouts. There are no participation trophies. What you'll find here is a world of good experience and a willingness to share that experience. These guys go out of their way to help new people. What the new people have to realize is that the help they get depends on their willingness to take it and apply it.
Stick around, learn how things work here, and eventually you'll know enough to be asking the right questions and getting the help you're looking for.Vampire, tarheelsfan105, Midwest Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.
