So you're saying that they want the driver to honor the contract. That they signed. Gotcha.

Cheap intimidating tactics drivers contract for training is between driver and Hirshbach other carriers have no obligation in this contract.

If this was about Hirschback getting paid for their training, this is a debt matter. They're going about this in a way that virtually guarantees that they won't be paid. Therefore, it seems logical they really don't care if they get paid. They view the driver as property.
I was looking at going to work for a third party oil hauler in the Permian Basin and in the application it had a Non Compete Clause that said "due to proprietary information I could learn" if I left them, I couldn't haul oil for any of their competitors in a two hundred mile radius for two years. I promptly told them to go get ####ed, in that same language, and they backed off it immediately. Went to work somewhere else.
Another oil hauling company I worked for had a Press Release Clause they wanted me to sign that allowed them to use my image for any reason whatsoever, for perpetuity, even if I left the company. Told the HR lady that I was there to haul oil and not to be a representative of their company in the press. Said that I would negotiate with her about buying my likeness rights if she wanted but they wouldn't come for free and it most certainly wouldn't be for forever. She left it alone and the clause wasn't signed.Last edited: Feb 6, 2022
