    The owner said the crankcase oil separator and jet plate messed up and its in the shop for that.
    I told him I have no clue what that is...

    He said that the emissions system hasn't given him any trouble since he did a bunch of weight reduction on it.

    I'm just in the dark with the new rigs like this.

    This is just heresay but apparently the engine itself is pretty stout once its gone on a diet.

    That's what I've read but I'm still hesitant.
    I'd be trading an old trailer that I have for it, the value of the trailer is around 15k

    Most of the horror stories I find seem to be a result of the emissions system and then the horrible resale value.
    Is that on par with what you've heard?

    Apparently the main issue with the earlier Maxxforce was they didn't want to utilize DEF, so they increased the EGR cycle. That resulted in more soot.

    To clarify, is this a Maxxforce or a Paccar engine.
    Have never seen a Paccar in anything other their own products.
