I'm sorry, I didnt mean that the way it sounded! After I found out how the pay system worked and all the other perks of the new job, I WAS SUPRISED THAT A non-union job took such good care of it's people!!!
These folks REALLY care about the driver and will do ALMOST anything to keep them happy! It is like nite and day compared to what I have endured!

I have a question, I bumped a container (no damage), got term'ed with a ding on my DAC for having a preventable accident. There were no police involved or tickets written, so does this still affect me on the CSA2010 rating?

Shoot, it only took me 15 years to get here!
But why cant more companies do the right thing? Blaming and only punishing the drivers when it's the companies creating and sustaining the illegal behaviors is like treating the symptoms but ignoring the actual disease causing them!
I understand and agree there are alot of personal responsibilities being shirked here, but if one driver refuses to play the game, there are 10 more graduating from Orientation next week who will! Dont hate the players, hate the game!

truckerdave, My understanding is that the new 2010 will also affect companies, they will also be receiving a safety rating, and your documentation you have will help you, at the time of your safety rating i would lock and load with your proof.

I really don't think CSA 2010 uses anything from DAC , only violations and warnings from LOE's plus accidents where a police report is fired .
Wannabe's better take warning from your post . There have been too many others like it - drivers terminated with a bad DAC when no damage occurred .
How did they know about you dinging a container ?

Is it true now that if your stoped for any reason even if your not ticketed that its a mark on the company your leased to and an automatic audit for them?

And now if your ticketed say a $200 fine for a leaky wheel seal your company your leased to also get a $200 fine?

If that the case they would have to have an agent at every Trucking Companies year round, cause you know they will find something wrong on a truck or trailer.

As for tickets, I do not think so, but you will get a points to go against both Records, that will stay with you 3 years. Pending on the ticket how many points, and if you get a number of them you can loose your CDL portion of your licenses. The way they have them listed you can get points for a number of codes for one ticket.

That is way I understand it and If your pulling a Company trailer it will hurt you as if it was your own.

Do a google search for CSA 2010 and you will see the points set up and be able to read more on it.

CSA 2010 has the ability to kill Careers of Truckers, Company Drivers and O/O.

And while the new regulations will not be in effect for several months, it retroactively applies. If you had any violations in the last 2 years it will affect you. Many drivers will have their careers ended immediately because of this.

It's also not for "any stop" but "any violation". Infact if you have a DOT inspection and pass with no violations, it IMPROVES your rating...

    Yatista Thanks this.

Q: Can a driver lose his/her CDL if the CSA 2010 system "flags" the driver as being a poor driver?
A: No. There are no regulatory provisions that would allow the FMCSA to "pull" a driver's CDL at this time (this would require rulemaking). The FMCSA can initiate interventions against the drivers, up to and including fining the driver, but they cannot suspend a driver's CDL at this time.

OK lets say a company or owner operator with his own authority gets shut down because of to many violations,,,, what prevents them from starting a new company with a fresh slate?
