Going to have my DOT physical in 2 weeks. BP is pushing high range 175ish. Not real huge but not a underwear model by any means. How can I get this lowered within the 2 weeks so I can pass the physical and keep the blood sugar under control, thanks.

Are you KIDDING someone? Anything over 149 is HUGE for "truck med cert approve plus" if any.. What is the "lower", the kidney one, the one, that can make you blind?

If you are going to "lower" it, you will have to stay with it. What is your age, weight, exercise habits, if any, except lifting fork?

I'm more than sure you have known the problem, what are you taking? If not taking anything still, ask your doctor Cozaar, or at least Lasartan its generic substitude..100 mills, it relaxes your vessel walls to lower the pressure, but man.. Wish you luck.

lifestyle change. foods that harm, foods that heal; by reader digest. read it. everything we eat either feeds disease or fights it.
moderate exercise, even walking. a mile a day helps. if your on fb, daily natural medicines/remedies may be a good guide as well. good luck.

Before people put me into the ground 6 feet deep I should clarify better. That was my high reading tonight at Walmart. Low was 163. Time I can get it down to the 140ish range but I do have more higher reading now. As a change is needed of course, Im looking to pass that DOT in 2 weeks. Been 9 years since I drove last. Needing crash course ideas for next two weeks to get that decent reading. Im 6`2 and 310lbs.

Absolutely no caffeine. Drink plenty of water. Beet juice. There are some breathing exercises on YouTube.
But you really need to see a Doctor. There is a reason they call High Blood Pressure the silent killer.

You can’t lower it from that level in two weeks without meds. Now if you had the better part of a year, vegetables and exercise would likely do the trick.

You have a long way to go if you are trying for a 2 year card. I think it has to be at 140/90 or below for the 2 year.
Here's a YT video for a temporary drop in BP a few minutes before getting the test.

If you can't get it down. They would probably give you meds and a 3 month medical card. If it's new medical card they could make you wait to get under better control.

Weight loss gives you the biggest bang for your buck on lowering BP and probably sugar also. Also stop drinking anything but water and no caffeine.
