Do you remember the days when cabs were actually bolted onto a frame? You’d maybe see one out of a hundred severe enough to shear the bolts or mounts but now it seems like every truck wreck involves a cab decapitation and a bonus engine ejection.

Funny enough you never see a Detroit hardly ever be ejected they are bolted in tight in the narrow cascadia hood...

Take a look that the Pete that became an impromptu hood ornament on a BNSF train in Leeds,North Dakota. That Paccar engine stayed put between the frame rails even though the truck was taken for a ride!
