    Just a suggestion.
Go to the OOIDA site and do some reading.
Pay the 25 bucks and become a member, that way you get access to more of the information they have. Next contact your state trucking association, they will have a lot of information as well.
Then start working on a business plan. When you get that done, you should have a good idea of what you need to do. Then do that.

With all due respect, save the 2 bits, and just ask here. I never thought much of OOIDA, I don't think they do squat except expand their pockets. There are just as many, if not more, qualified people here.

OOIDA is a must your first year in my opinion, for nothing other than they'll do your BOC-3 for free if you're a member.

I think looking at Prime would be a asset. Right now they have freight, you can lease a truck, or buy one or bring your own and run power only. Use their trailers, fuel cards etc and run your own numbers. Start listening to their Friday safety meetings on you tube. Maybe not for everyone, but looks like a way to get started.

No actually I was left with no vehicles and no way to recover them, and without the financial means to take anyone to court. The only person that did well was my marketing director @Lonesome who according to a reliable source was seen spending large amounts of money at a Flying J on roller dogs and bobble heads.

May I suggest heading over to the Classifieds and compete with the others trying to buy an older MC. You can start fresh and maybe get some new start up funding. It will be enough to live off of while you wait for your new equipment to be delivered in a few years. All is not lost. You will bounce back!

Well, I'm having lunch with Jerry(Moyes) and Kevin(Knight) this afternoon, I'm hoping they can steer me in the right direction. I do like some of the ideas Randy(Marten) had, but listening to him talk about himself in the 3rd person is so distacting it's hard to take him seriously.

I don't deny you earned every penny of your salary. What ever vice you spend your money on is strictly between you and your conscience. @Frank Speak was NOT my source of info, last I heard he was at a ribbon cutting ceremony at a new bloodbank in KY.
