As long as Mark has other options, he's not going to sell this particular model.
If that radio was purchased from someone else, Mark isn't going to touch it.
If that radio was worked on by your technician, Mark isn't going to touch it.
The receive sucks right out of the Box.
The average person would think it's just fine though being able to hear someone from 5 or 10 miles away over 8 pounds of noise.

Well, the issue isn't the noise in the speaker, it's trying to reduce the amount of RF interference getting into the receiver. Computer hash. The interference usually finds its way in via the unshielded or unprotected power line, mic cables etc. Plus there's no real RF shielding on the radio itself other than the metal casing. I'm trying to figure out how to clean the receive up, not just the speaker hash. I'm not sure how to do this other than ferrite beads on everything and bonding or ground strapping the antenna mount.. Can't touch the computers or inverter themselves, company truck.

That speaker will do exactly what you are looking to do! I have the same problems in my company Cascadia! I can run the squelch wide open and not loose my mind due to the background noise. I've used it with 3 different radios, Anytone AT6666, Top Gun Quad 5, and a Stryker 955. Might have to fiddle with rf gain and volume between the 3 but I'll never be without it by choice!

I think you missed my point. If I have s8 of computer or RF noise, the DSP speaker won't be able to clean up the audio from an s2 or s3 signal buried under s8 interference. The s8 signal buries the s3 so the speaker can't hear it, therefore the dsp in the speaker can't process it. It can't process what it can't hear

What's the bandwidth of your antenna?
The narrower the bandwidth, The less noise you will hear and more signal you will hear.

I'm just installing a 4ft Top load fiberglass Firestik II. Lowest I can get at this time is:

    26.965 2.0
    27.205 1.5
    27.405 1.0.
    27.505 is 1.1
    27.805 is 1.5

Set screw is full extend. Can't go out any further.

Next is installing a ground strap on my door hinge to see if that helps bring it down. I hope 1 will work as that's all I got for now

The antenna is too short for the Freightliner Cascadia.
    Minimum 7 foot antenna.
    Maximum 9 foot at a 45° angle.

Ok that's something I didn't know. Any particular brand to suggest?

A cheap 9' stainless steel whip is the ideal antenna for that truck.
Any brand would work just fine.
A 7' skip shooter would also work But it might weigh a little bit more.
