Well now.......... After several days of staying off pop and breads and retaking my BP meds for the first time in forever, Ive been steady low 150`s to a few 140s already. I`m walking 3-5 miles a day. Just did a 2 mile walk with dog and my BP was 134 over 95 which is best Ive seen in a long while.
My issue is (yeah few lbs over) is besides being 52 years old, my BP has always been fine til 3 years I had a fire accident where I was life flighted and all that jazz. BP since that event has been high, but was not before that. I stay active and play sports so not a blob. Big part is keeping my BP down lower and continue to drop weight. When I drove 9 years ago I actually dropped weight driving due to, to nervous to eat while driving.
    NOW..........
Is there a chart listed anywhere that is same for everyone doing DOT test where if you are in a certain range where I could get a 1 year and/or 2 year. If nervous the day of, what is the high end accepted? I`m shooting for the 140 range needless to say but will be nervous so I`m sure that will hike it up some.

I’ve never had high pressure either
Every time I went I. They’d say it was really good

I wonder if some of this is t due to all the crap going on the past couple years?

Sure age has some to blame but it’s like overnight

There is. It used to be on the actual form itself, but I see it has been removed. I also can not find anywhere in 391 where the actual numbers are listed. This means the FMCSA is changing something. I found this chart on the Medical Examiners guide. I think it is still the current numbers.

Did your BP go up when you had the thing? That’s the only time I had BP issues and went on a small dose of a BP med. After a couple months I was ok to come off it.

Last time I bug y`all til my physical. Past 2 days at my work (nurses station) Ive been solid 5 times in the 130 range for top number. Lower number is in the mid to upper 90`s. How do I get that under 90? Nine days to my exam and ive dropped the top number 40 points thus far.
My average is 134 over 96.

Well, I'm far from an expert on anything medical related.

But, my younger sister has a masters degree in some kind of rehabilitation. She specializes in helping people get back in reasonable shape and try to get their health back.

She told me the absolute #1 thing that people can do is WALK. Walk for at least a half an hour a day. Park in the back of the truck lot every time and walk. Walk around the block.

After that, it's vegetables. Try to eat them as often as you can.

And after that drink tons of water. Most people don't drink enough and it's very important. Before you drink a soda or an energy drink, drink water. Then after that have your soda. You wont drink as much. Then you can go from there.

Walk for a half an hour every day, eat your brocoli, and drink more water.
