I turned on the radio today in central Florida, and there he was, I’ve watched a lot of Mark’s earlier videos and learned a lot from him. (I tried to order a radio from him, but I asked one too many questions and got blacklisted.). While he’s always been a little eccentric, he really seems like a different person from what he was a few years ago. And the change has not been for the better.
Another Canadian driver, Timin770 and jdchet Thank this. -
One of the reasons why I’m hesitant to turn on my CB sometimes. Some people just need a life.

If someone doesn't devote their life to their work, why would you spend your hard earned money with them?
Lots of people will make frivolous claims that they are better, but why is it that you've never heard them or any of their customers over the airwaves?Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -

I get that people wanna "defend" against the dishonest. That being said, sitting on and repeating the same phrases over and over for 8 hours a day, clogging the airwaves for the truckers who use it to help navigate is something completely different. If they was to get on, once an hour and simply say something like "watch out for dishonest people and be sure to research before you buy" then get off would be just fine. That's helpful and informative.
Yet, when they go on for hours about "window lickers, window lickers cb radio" over and over and over... it's just like receiving spam emails. You wanna get on and check your emails, but you have to go through junk just to try and get them.
I never started this thread to start arguments. Just to vent, and hope I was not the only one tired of it. I'm also not saying that "this guy" is a pest. I believe, yeah to an extent he wants to help. To the other extent, all he wants to do is go on about nonsense just to be heard.
I'm not saying he doesn't know radios, obviously he does. You can be the most knowledgeable person around but when sending your message in the wrong way can deter a lot of people away. He may be wanting to promote cb radios, but his "spam" is turning a lot of people away from even using them.
I just think he needs to control his time on. Get on, show off a little bit, send some advice. Then be on his way. Not sit for hours on end.
I and a lot of people would greatly appreciate it.
As for the other guys in Las Vegas, etc. They do get annoying and go on quite a bit. I really wish those wanting to talk skip would find another channel just for that. I don't see what's fun about getting on for hours just to say "how's this radio sound? Yeah you sound good. Okay how's this radio sound?" 94 times a day.
Yes, hobbies are great to have. Everything in moderation. Plus just to have some type of respect for the truck drivers would be nice. We're always getting crap on the roads. ch. 19 used to be great to talk to a fellow driver, get a laugh and feel better.
My entire point of this..
Yes, it's impressive to have such a nice radio. I do not, nor have never claimed to be an expert on them. Just respect us enough to stop the same repetitive quotes over and over (Harddrive). For the other (skip talkers) find a different dang channel lolTb0n3, Vampire, MrCharlieTodd and 6 others Thank this. -
there comes a time we’re your product should speak for you not the other way around. If your really that good word of mouth will spread like wild fire.Vampire, Blaskowitz, Sirscrapntruckalot and 2 others Thank this.
