I had a trainee once try this line on me when he wanted to drive in tennis shoes instead of his boots. It definitely took him more than 10 seconds to get his boots on. Some of these guys need remedial lessons on lace tying, so don't be surprised when your trainer has qualms.

On another note, this is what my yard looks like right now.

And this is what my floor looks like on the driver's side:

I hosed down the Matt and cleaned the pedal on Sunday when it was warm, so you're looking at a day and a half of accumulation. To do a basic drop and hook you half to get out of the truck at least 3 times - assuming you don't need to GOAL or slide tandems. Sliding your shoes on everytime you goal and then removing them again before you resume backing while be a cumbersome process, particularly when you need to back into the south dock

There is no way to get into that dock without GOALing at least three times. From the picture it looks like you can cut the corner, and you can a little bit, but it's hard getting the trailer far enough forward to use that space. It is just barely possible to get into the center dock if a trailer is in the north dock, but you will be within 6 inches, which means goaling, a lot.

In short, going shoeless tends to be less than practical. Investing in a pair of soft soled moccasins might be a better idea.

They are skinny yes. However they wash feet in sinks and poop through holes in the tractor floor. And dump large amounts of bagged trash everywhere they stop. So Be their cheerleader if you want. I’ll take the fat professional anyday.

Hey now, you go 10 years only wearing cowboy boots and see if you can remember how to tie shoes.

Laceless boots are always the way to go, when you are in wet elements. You can't do better than laceless boots.

I'm sure you know already, but people that look to spend some good money on boots need to learn how to care for them, so they last. I've seen some leather boots in dire need of treatment.

I don't typically spend a whole lot of money on my boots 180 to 200 some usually. I'll buy one pair and it'll be the only thing I wear for shoes or boots for a year or so, I'll wear the heels out in that amount of time.

That's a good price for a decent pair of boots.

I can't say that I wear out my heels so quickly. But, we are all different. We walk differently. With each step we may be dropping our weight differently. I don't know.

I walk strange and always have. I wear the outside rear corner off the heels somehow. I actually had a pair of these Tony Llamas fixed for 50 bucks and that has lasted as long as the original heels.

I'm with you on the "walk weird" thing. About 9 months in the sole of my right shoe starts separating on the instep and the right heel squishes down. Growing up my parents thought I just didn't take care of my stuff.

Yeah we got cheap 30 dollar a pair Payless shoes growing up, about 6 or 8 months and the toes were always separating on mine. They were real nice come summertime though, nice and cool.
