Same could be said for anything. We all spend money on frivolous things.....every single one of us. I don't gloat at another's loss. There's nothing to gain by it and it's a terrible way to live. Folks have families to feed and that fact isn't lost on me. Is your life that fragile that the only way for you to get ahead is by wishing failure on others. Pretty sad.

I'm failing to see where I gloated, but thanks for trying to put words in my mouth that I didn't say. And you're right we all do spend money. The problem is how much you spend.

Anyways, the guy lost his truck due to poor business management decisions. It's a lesson a lot of people are here could learn from. I watch O/O's come and go everyday because they can't handle running a business. I have a family too and I make decisions based on their future welfare, not a shiny truck and a bunch of toys.

As long as this administration is in power I don’t believe fuels going to go down.

In fact it will continue to go up until 2024. So $7 a gallon is reality and might even see $8

I’m not sure, but I think a catwalk tank is illegal. Has to be mounted outboard of the frame. I’ve always wanted bigger or extra Tanks. The savings can really add up.

    Siinman and shooter19802003 Thank this.

And the Big companies get a big discount. I pay full price. I fuel at Independant places. Sometimes buy 50 or 60 gallons for showers. 2 showers. My wife and I. She likes her own, Lol. It’s usually cheaper to just buy them. If they don’t offer Team showers, I’ll wait till She’s done. Drives her mad. But hey I’m a cheapskate. The idea is to make money, not spend it unnecessarily. The money saved goes towards a nice meal. Why eat burgers, when you can have a steak? Bottom line is, it all adds up.

Well $1.00 a gallon increase, boils down to .16 cpm increased operating costs. For those getting over 6 mpg, and also getting a FSC. Like many Lease Operators do, they’ll be fine. Even better. For myself, I’ll need to make more on my Loads, or take a cut. It has to come from somewhere. Time will tell. For now, if I can just get 6 mpg, I’ll be happy. Been taking cheap fuel for granted too long.

Just put another set behind your others. Like the aussies do. Or get a set of those big tanks that western star has.

    Rideandrepair and Brettj3876 Thank this.

I can't speak to what discounts the megas get. However, it makes sense. When your fueling 10k trucks at a wack......you get discounts. Just sucks for everyone else.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

So the idea is to be like a grizzly bear. Amass a lot of body fat while you can and then when it's winter, it is time to hole up and sleep through it. Then in Spring you get out of the hole and get at those berries, honey, and salmon, which are everywhere. That's a grizzly bear approach...to sleep through cold days.
