    they make a decent electric grease gun. had one when i worked at the golf course. 60+ zerks on 1 mower. using a regular pump gun was like torture, greasing every other day. talked the boss man into splurging on a battery powered one and it made life much easier. the only downside was it was hard to feel that pressure u get with a pump gun, when the zerk was full of grease. and overgreasing a mower is very bad. because the overflow gets transfered to the grass and kills it.

    I like Teflon tape on potable water, paste on everything else.

    While I do agree with this, I have broken many pipe fittings this way, they get so slippery you don't really know how tight they are.

    Back when I pulled wrenches I figured out a basic “formula” of sorts for that. Use 1 foot of wrench per inch of pipe. That seemed to always give the best torque and seal without splitting anything.
