    I'm seeing cheap freight.

    Can't judge solely by Reefer postings.
    I did Reefer, lots of BS appointment times and surprise 13 drops when u call on a load.

    I found more receipts for maintenance--now close to 35K in 2021. I will check tomorrow if there is more. Though it is going to be more deductions on my income tax.
    In two years I spent around 55K for maintenance. This month it is going to be serviced again, hopefully no more than 7K.

    Maybe then I will swim through the rest of the year...

    20-25 a year for me no matter what it seems. Order a new one.

    What exactly are you spending 55k on maintaining.
    Did you do a full rebuild engine trans an rearends?

    I think the bigger issue is he found more receipts. How do you know what you’re making or if you’re making money if you don’t keep track of things month to month?

    I have spent some time here. And some have said you need to put in around 65K (on maintenance) if you get an old truck. Does that hold true for most? I paid 30K on that truck in 2020 (Kennworth T660 2010). Ran quite good for some time. It looked good on the outside, inside.
    No overhaul for me.
    I got it since it had a recent engine overhaul. I mean two years (might not be considered too recent).
    They had maintenance records on it as well. The truck seemed to be in shop every month once they got it on auction. It was quite good for me for 9 months, close to 15K in maintenance costs my first year. Things started to come out last May. And from that time every month something.
    Now, I have differential leak, fuel tank leak, and gear problem described on another thread. I'm waiting for it to be worked on next week. I'm trying a new shop this time.



    After putting so much into it, I hope that's it until reality sets in...
    But there is hope it will give me a good run after these spendings.

    It would be crazy to put every receipt in every day since I'm on the road. I prefer to separate by month my spendings on the road. I keep these with road trips.
    Some records I keep with road trips. Other things like annual filings to be compliant, maintenace (major jobs done) separately from the ones I keep on the road. I didn't count one folder.
    My wife does paperwork. She likes to keep things her way. I like to keep it my way. So, we both hold receipts.

    Anybody else notice all the "How do I get my own authority" threads that have been started on here this week?

    I guess sky high fuel costs don't seem to worry these folks?
