Well I should say thanks to anyone who has been helping me to figure this all out!! Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Although I do tend to get my favorites :) BUT who honestly doesn't have favorites?! Family, friends, kiddos, teachers, acquaintances etc :)

Okay y'all. I would create a new post/thread BUT I don't know how to tag certain people, so that they can see this so yeah I'm just going to I guess carry it on here. If anyone knows how to do that though, let me know please :)

So this was the truck I drove tonight. Still having a hard time shifting BUT it is only because I really don't know how still BUT it was also way easier than the dang Kenworth yesterday that had 850 HP!!

This was from tonight both the truck I drove and the load.....good heavens trying to get those straps tightened once they are pretty tight in my mind is....difficult to say the least. Hanging on the dang (not sure what the metal tool thing you use to tighten the straps with), but I could use all my body weight and hang on it like a monkey and not get it any tighter like the guys can!! But at least I try my hardest and am not lazy by any means!! :love5::cheers: 20220309_202159.jpg 20220309_202131.jpg 20220309_202123.jpg 20220309_202119.jpg 20220309_202117.jpg 20220309_202139.jpg 20220309_202145.jpg 20220309_202156.jpg 20220309_202159.jpg

Posting here is fine, for right now, considering the request in here for pictures, but you could show off your loads in the Posting Loads thread, of course, we like to see secured loads so we can critique and or criticize them. :) J/K, kind of. :) A picture hanging on to that WINCH BAR would be interesting. Have your trainer take it. :)
This is usually where we post load pics:

As the old saying goes…. “I don’t think she has enough lead in her britches” when it comes to the winch bar…:) that comment is not criticism @GeminiTrucker93 :p:).

But yes pictures are good, it helps us to see what you see, and therefore makes it easier for us graybeards to help you….

Lol oh I know!! :) :) I'm just petite and barely weigh a buck and a quarter, so that doesn't help my situation.

Back when I worked for UPS, I transferred HUBS and they put me on an all business route. Well one store didn't have a ramp, and I had five 70-pound packages loaded on my hand truck. I was trying to pull it up the curb. Had a few customers of the business sitting there watching me. I was using all my body weight and strength to try and get it over the curb. I finally got it after about 5 minutes, but the force of me pulling and how far back I was leaning to try and get it over the curb caused me to fall back on my ### and the packages fell all off the hand truck IN FRONT OF THESE PEOPLE! I was pissed off to say the least. Not to mention everyone witnessing this, me hurting at this point, it had already been a long day and it wasn't over yet....I had 320 stops total that day and about 570 packages. I was NOT happy! LOL. Not to mention that night after work I got into a fight with my supervisor and went home in tears because he had a chat with me and told me that I might want to consider an office job or something more suited to a woman because I was just too petite. I argued with him over that one because I worked my ### off harder than anyone else there, so for him to say that was totally just a slap in the face.

It sucks that I, as a woman, can't just throw 150 lb. package over my shoulder like it's nothing or pull down that winch bar like I just got done tightening a strap on a regular vehicle with a mattress or some stupid stuff, but it can be done. Maybe not how a man does it. Might need to find different ways or maneuvering things around differently BUT it can be done :)

You need a cheater pipe for your winch bar. :)

There’s an old saying…. It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog that matters.
Don’t give up, just adapt, improvise, overcome…!

We may act a fool with you but it’s in fun, lot of good heads here to help along the way….

Not telling you what to do…. But, one thing I and others do when possible, is “belly wrap” the load. Helps reduce movement in the event some hair brain 4 wheeler decides to act stupid. Notice the 2nd chain back….

Sorry, need clarification. Are you talking about the one that looks like it has two chains on top of the cargo? 20220310_073628.png
