I have done this with mine. Just 2 plugs on the back, as long as it's plugged in it'll read what it's supposed to.
Nope, only programming needed is if you add a gauge you didn't already have. I've got a Pyro in my pickup that I need to install and have the mechanic turn on in the computer.
