I just got back from a short trip to visit my daughter in Oregon. Deisel prices at Love's and PFJ along the I-5 in NorCal were averaging $6.50 per gallon. In Oregon it was down around $5.25 per gallon. I feel for you guys out there dealing with this BS right now with the rates on a downswing.

I was bored today and came up with this. I’ve put 27646 miles on my new truck, burned 4051 gallons for an average so far of 6.82mpg. I’ve spent $16434.21 for an average of $4.05 per gallon.
My old truck averaged 5.3mpg with a dry van so I would’ve burnt 5216 gallons and it would’ve cost me $21124.80.
In less than 3 months I’ve already saved $4690.51 in fuel. As the engine breaks in I will keep widening the gap between my old truck. I should see a minimum of $20k saved for the year.PoleCrusher, Accidental Trucker, Midwest Trucker and 5 others Thank this. -

Fact is that I always saw them in hammer lane at 85mpg on I 80 NE or WY. I know because I was not the slowest guy on the interstate either...curious if they have a reason to be in a hurry or is it just a trademark of sorts.
