A more realistic one would be deadheading out of Florida to Georgia for a load or Denver to Kansas.

There's been times I've personally done that.
Atlanta to Chicago paying more than say Orlando, FL to Chicago.

 

He gave the example because one guy said he puts a limit on himself on how far he will deadhead. The example given was two identical paying loads going to the same city, only one was farther than the poster’s self imposed deadhead limit. He wasn’t saying there are $8k loads from ABQ. He simply gave an fake example and asked what if.

 

I get that but it's ridiculous example using those cities to make a case.

 

Hopefully next time he won’t make that mistake again and consult you before posting.

 

So I’ve been wondering, who controls freight rates? A little bit of everything combined? I don’t believe a cheap carrier or broker drives all these prices down.

My brother in law works for a major Oil and gas company as a pipeline controller and I asked him if they had increased the volume moved in a day and he said it’s still the same as before the Sanctions.
