He has visco clutch not air actuated.
    Most likely electrical issue.

Not air actuated on a 2012 D13? My 15 is, just curious.

They do it on purpose. You have to come to dealership for parts.

It’s air actuated. I have 12 of them from 2012-2015, all the same.

you can also check the fan hub by turning off the truck and pump the breaks until you have no air then open the hood and TRY to turn the fan..... with no air going to it it should not move at all if you can turn it by hand the hub is bad.... and yes if you have a air line going to the hub it's air powered

    Imani100 and Liquidforce Thank this.

How urgent of a repair is that fan clutch?
Is it a get to next exit type of thing?
Or can I route myself to my mechanic (3 work days probably)?

I mean as long as you don’t over heat just watch your temperature, but i would get it asap just to avoid a possible issue, might be like $400-600 depending on what shop i guess

    Jacoooooooo Thanks this.

Mine is spinning on high speed right now, and doesn’t stop, not really afraid of overheating, more of that it will take off, not sure how long it can stay on high without that hub going kabum.
