I had an Aunt that repeatedly celebrated her 38th Birthday. It became awkward when her oldest passed her up… LOL

I like the one that was told to me for some delivery directions. Go towards town and when you see the black marks past the guard rail turn right there and go to lumber yard on left.

Thought this was stupid until I get there and I see the black marks past guard rail. Everybody slammed on brakes because the turn was closer than thought.

My dad told he went to a shipper that became a regular but they said go about 5 miles out of town and hang a left at the cow. So he goes out there and there's a cow and he took the left lol.

Well got to work this morning and my truck DEF gauge was on the last bar flashing red (I drive an older Freightliner) with a check engine light and would not start. Turned the battery disconnect off for 15 minutes, back on and same thing. Called breakdown they had me do it again and cycle the key. It started, idled horribly rough for about 30 seconds then died. It’s gettin a hook to Freighliner and I’m back home. They think it’s a DEF pump sensor, which is on national back order. However they won’t know until Freightliner digs into it, they can’t remotely scan my truck for codes. So I’m betting a trip to Fremont is in my near future to retrieve a truck.

This 8/2 split continues to befuddle me. Does the following make sense? What am I missing?

Load last night wasn’t ready so I shut down with 2 hours on my 11. Jump into Sleeper for 9 hours (7 hour minimum) and was going to grab some groceries since I was BT.

While I wasn’t going to use an 8/2 split, I still had the same 2 hours on my 11 but -8 on my 14.

So the QC was saying I could not use the 8/2 split when I’m thinking it should be available to me.

good thing I wasn’t planning on it.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

You have to check the box on your HOS screen, then acknowledge the warning. It won't recalculate the hours until you do that.

Exactly, you can actually sit there and check the box and then uncheck it and watch your hours change back and forth LOL

Well @MidWest_MacDaddy i got to experience the East St. Louis drop yard today, and you weren’t kidding. I mean good night, I gave serious consideration to locking in my axles. What a rutted out mud pit. But anyway that’s where they had me pick up a truck from was Kenworth in St. Louis. Hitched a ride with one of the KC-St. Louis boys, snagged the keys, got a trailer from the east side of the Lou destined for Aurora NE, dropped it at ACT in KC and done.
