Indeed or craigslist is a quick way to get an interview.

You can Google water/oil hauling, sand hauling companies in an area and give them a call. Most companies would be happy to hire a competent hard worker.

Edmonton. I know it seems like there's tons of jobs here for the oilfields but all i seem to find are ridiculously low paying jobs for Edmonton/Ft Mc turn around. I can't seem to figure out how to get into a big 6 figure job, even if it's on a temp basis.

from the research i’ve done lots of problems with management,in cab cameras so they can watch your every move and lots of micromanagement.More or less do what we tell you to do or bye bye .I was also told in my westcan thread on here they advertise a great hourly wage but it ends up being like piece work .The western provinces seem to have the worst driver reviews compared to ontario where i’m from .Has to be a reason they are always hiring and just changed the hourly rate.I don’t have any first knowledge of them just what i was told on here and when you read the same complaints over and over on sites like indeed or trucking forums that’s not a good sign

Those jobs are so few and far between now, they never advertise them either, the people who are doing them will never quit, and if they do, they already have 10 guys on a wait list.

One of my driving school instructors, was invited to go up to GP to haul Super B caustic tanker. He’s making big cash, but told me every company has all the people they need and wait lists. The #### that hits indeed, is just like the OTR ####.

That’s pretty much the long and short of it, I didn’t work there, but my best friend did. He basically said the equipment is trashed and falling apart, dispatch is retarded, the tanks are never loaded right, the pay system is confusing and always wrong, hourly doesn’t mean hourly, the corporate ######## is 7 layers deep, you will be constantly harassed by “Safety” and “Health and Wellness” equity hires fresh out of school; who all have the power to dock pay/fire you because they know everything. Their answer to any issue, is to not pay the driver. The CVSE/RCMP make all their lives hell, since they crashed multiple tankers into fresh waterways in BC and Alberta.

my buddy did 2 years, left, did 3 at Vedder in food grade, left and tried some local waste hauling, before realizing that driving sucks and you might as well go work at Costco.
