Hello, I am hoping someone here can help with my question. I have a DOT number and business licenses to drive my own truck but I have been unable to secure a truck. Can anyone point me in a direction to where I can use the DOT number and licenses without having a truck so the company can start getting experience and eventually save up for my own truck. I do have a mini van and a escalade I was thinking I could do small hot shot loads if possible and where would a good place be to get started. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated, thank you.

Anyone can get a dot number and biz license .
And if you’re running expedited freight in a minivan or fancy Escalade ,
    You don’t need a CDL .

I know folks that run expedited
With sprinter vans or minivans and they do pretty good money

You need to have insurance to get your Motor Carrier Authority. There are too many blanks in your situation. Why cant you get a truck?

If you don't have the right equipment just don't do it. You not going to be pulling any hot shot loads would that Escalade. The van if it's in good operating condition and you can trust it you can go run Sprinter stuff. As far as your number and business license I can do that online why we post on here

Not gonna run Sprinter loads in a minivan, as you cannot get a standard pallet through the door, nor load/unload with a forklift.

I did something similar when I first started in a Ford high-top conversion with a wood floor panel and stripped interior. There were many loads I couldn't accept because the door just wasn't quite tall enough. That was fixed when I bought a well-worn Sprinter super high ceiling with its 6' tall rear door opening and 180* swinging doors. Add in the hatchback a minivan has vs. doors, along with the narrower opening, and its just not going to happen.

Sell escalade or trade for sprinter. Make money and sell sprinter for semi. Your gonna need to work so much, you won't need that escalade.
