Are there any trucking companies that will train you for a CDL while on probation?

Looking to get my CDL but currently on adjudication withheld of a felony with probation for the next 2 yrs. I have my CDL permit and I live in Orlando, FL. I am currently waiting to hear from my WIOA agent about a grant to attend trucking school then maybe I can apply to companies that are willing to take me while on probation like, Western Express, Trans AM, May Trucking to name a few. But just was wondering should I blitz my info to trucking companies that offer cdl training and see what happens? Any suggestions?

I am curious how much this guy realistically can clear weekly with his record and situation ?!

If you’re getting the grant, why do you want to get trained by a company? Why don’t you just go on the FMCSA website, put in your zip code, and find approved schools in your area? This way you don’t owe anyone to work at their company for a year, and your only concern would then be finding employment.

In addition, see if any community colleges in your area offer CDL training. It’ll be cheaper, like $1200, and since it’s an actual semester of college, it’s covered under the Pell Grant — which you’d get much easier than the other route you’re going. Plussss, most employers in my recent searches view that type of course as “experience” and would hire you even if they don’t hire recent Cdl grads just because of it being a 5 months course, 5 days a week, etc.

I didn't want to start a new thread because my question is similar. @Chinatown you helped me find my first trucking job back in 2019. Now im wondering if there are any companies in California willing to hire me while I'm on probation? Thank you in advance.
