It's like you know something about this car...

Like how you can run the engine all the way up to 7000 rpms, making it awesome for road courses, because it doesn't need to be shifted as frequently. That while it may get beat off the line by many of its competitors, it still runs the ¼ mi in about 11.7 seconds off the factory floor, putting it where it needs to be when it counts.

I just want to be able to have some real fun with it, without getting into too much trouble.

Track days. You can’t even began to drive that car without getting into serious trouble. But on the track…you can actually push the car. No trees, no pedestrians, no Sunday drivers, no minivans, no Johnny Law, no texting. It’s like comparing sex with a hot and willing woman with pocket pool, porn and a beanbag chair.

“I curled her toes and she shuddered when she said my name” vs “man, those flaming hot Cheetos actually have a little heat!”

Have any of you ever read or watched “Othello”? It’s a story about some warrior with a beautiful faithful wife who gets a seed planted into his head by a jealous so-called friend that his wife is cheating on him. And eventually, he murders his wife.

My youngest sister called me today about a report of my baby brother’s wife (both work at FedEx) talking about her behind her back and she wanted to confront her. “What should I do, Six?”

Nothing. Just make a mental note.

“But Six, I take my job very seriously and she told someone that I don’t.”

If she had a problem with you, she would tell you to your face. And you know it. If she didn’t say it to your face, she didn’t say it.

“But Six, the manager told me…”

    Irrelevant.

I’ve heard people brag about being master manipulators, and I’ve seen the manipulated declare war. What I don’t get is how Peter can allow someone to change his mind about Paul on words alone when Paul has been his best friend for decades.

Because it's rooted in Peter's own insecurity. That's why it can fester and seem to need to be actionable. The cure is to have been through the wringer and survive and hopefully learn from the experience to see it coming next time...else, the insecurity continues. :(
