Hence my choice of words in my response - lots of local colluqisims. Depending on where a person grows up, some odd words are VERY common, some "common" words are ignored, ans some words are used very differently. Ask a N. WI kid where the water fountain is and he'll send you to this

One of the things that's been hammered home over my last decade of training is "common" is subjective. A farm kid isn't going to know what a viaduct is and a city kid isn't going to know the difference between a combine and a tractor. Any time someone runs into something new and tries to learn from it makes me happy.

Then he was pretty darn lost - where I grew up viaducts were railway bridges.

Not sure, but I don't think it is exclusive to railroads.

In Chicago, it pretty much is. If it's a road we'd call it an overpass. Bridges are things that span water.

Could be early. Not sure when it happened
Or. Maybe the video guy is the only one with any real info and it hasn’t caught up yet?

I guess we're pretty lost then here in Iowa because we drive combines all the time over the railroad viaduct east of town

    Coffey and Oxbow Thank this.
