I am still here, but I am going to see him in Texas. Believe it or not, the tickets are cheaper on Texas.

Allow me to get mushy again. My husband and I had a sugar jar for once in a lifetime concerts. The remaining acts are. Garth Brooks, Reba, The Judds and George Straight.

So Garth in Texas is this seat:
    Hall of Fame 123
    $512 ea
    Row 15|

We had been camping over in the Smokies. We drove through Nashville today on the way back to Memphis. 5:00 and the overhead information. Signs were saying all parking lots full. Concert started at 7.

My son was driving in his truck a few miles ahead of us. He tried going a little too fast. Mr Trooper pulled him over for a discussion. After he stopped our son called us to say he was pulled over. A mile later we see him and pull to the shoulder ahead of him. Mr. Trooper waves for me to come see him. Seems my lead foot son was clocked at a way too high rate of tire rotation. Mr trooper did not issue a ticket and I assured him the behavior would be addressed when we returned home.

Keys are now put away for 2 weeks. Next time he will need yo put Uber on his speed dial.

They were fueled on hate after their mother died. He reached out many times, many ways, but they would just bat him away. He passed and they were gleeful about it. All that ended when she became ill and died. He told the prison pastor, that he really messed things up.

Sometimes life is a steep learning curve.

While I watched it rain last night, all I could think was their for the grace of God go my three. They were dumped by their bio parents and when it was clear they were not coming back, I put my wants and needs on the way back burner and raised three baby boys 3, 4, and 5 to wonderful, caring and loving men. I was blessed to be allowed to raise them up and would not trade a day or a dollar for them.

Brings back the nightmare of me letting Junior Squid, as a reward for getting his license, drive my old 3/4 T Chevy work truck that sported a somewhat modified 454 to the store for his mother that was about 15 miles away— Sheriff Tom Carter could have nailed his hide to the barn door, but didn’t

She helped raise her sisters 3 children after her sister died at the age of 28. Later in life she raised the grandson of her late sister. She wanted children but couldn’t have any, but she stepped up when no one else would. The last boy she raised went for days without eating, the feel of hunger was a common thing.

Unless you experience it, it’s hard to truly know what it’s like for someone to give you a home, food everyday, and confidence that no one would come take you away.

Her name was Winnie, my grandmother’s sister. His name was Lester…..
