I received a ticket in Michigan for being on a CMV prohibited truck route. I picked up ON the road I was ticketed on but, I was supposed to come in another way. I was in Wayne County, Woodhaven. 33rd District Court.
I was given the ticket by a local cop. Yeah I was on the road I guess I deserved it, I just didnt know another way to come in.
The ticket says Civil Infraction and "local ordinance" is what I was in violation of. Im just trying to find out if the ticket will equal any points. Ive been trying to call courthouse since Thursday when I received the ticket, no answer yet from them. If it helps any my ticket is written under 257.726

Same happened to me in some town in OH local cop, had to be in road I was on to turn down road I was delivering on. Real ######## and I let the pig know it to. By the time it was said and done I gave them there $160 and made it go away. Lawyer and fighting it would of been $600 plus. It hasn’t surfaced on my Driving record at all.

Google whatever town it was and find a traffic lawyer that works that town...just give them a call and see what your options are.. May be able to get it reduced or thrown out entirely...
I hate those shippers that are down no trucks roads and they don't let you know anything about it and then ur the poor dude that gets caughtTrucker61016, God prefers Diesels, mjd4277 and 8 others Thank this. -
Yeah I have a lawyer in mind there in that county just in case. Michigan is NOT a member( I cant remember the name of it) to where they report traffic convictions to my state. So it seems( and someone correct me) even if I was convicted Michigan doesn't report it.....

I explained to the useless public servant ( that does this to trucks every time they come to this location I was told) it should be marked that they want trucks going 2 miles out of the way to make a turn on a road I was a 1/4 mile from. Because I didn’t see another option on the map. The well written and picture proof google review I left the Solon,OH police department seems to been removed also. I was going to Bond street.

It’s a Michigan State code, look it up. The question is if it carries any points. Being a moving violation, maybe. I doubt it, since overweight tickets don’t. Call the SOS, or State Police, Motor Carrier Div. Maybe they’ll be able to tell you. No points? Pay it and forget it. Good Luck. Civil Infraction simply means it’s almost impossible to beat. All minor traffic violations in Mi. are civil infractions since early 80’s. Guilty by a preponderance of evidence, as in the Cops word against yours. Not innocent beyond a shadow if a doubt.

If you got an actual moving violation ticket, than it's not a problem. Michigan allows dropping to a non moving violation, which costs like $30 more, but carries no points. They usually change to "impeding traffic" or something like that.
I can give you a lawyer's number who can take care of that, if you don't want to go to court yourself.Another Canadian driver, WildTiger1990, God prefers Diesels and 4 others Thank this. -
Actually it doesn't matter if Michigan says there are points on the license or not, it matters if North Carolina does (If that is where the license is from).
The only way to really know is check in 6 months. What is points in MI may not be in NC, and the opposite is true. What is points in NC may not be in MI.Another Canadian driver, Trucker61016, God prefers Diesels and 3 others Thank this.
