There are way too many variables when it comes to loans to paint with a broad brush. Even if someone got a $280k loan with just 10% down but then did 6 years on the note it would be a little over $4k. But how many people are getting new combos with only 10% down? Who knows. I’m sure there are a few but the reality is if you’ve never owned a truck in your life it would probably take 20% or more on something brand new.

Then how many people had trucks they sold at a premium and dumped that money into a new one? I sold a truck for almost what I paid for it at the beginning of 2019.

Everyone’s situation is different I guess.

At that rate of decline you'll soon be working 35 or 40 days for the same pay as 10 to 15 days. At what point will you say 'enough' and park?
I'm not bagging on you, just wondering how far some people are willing to go just to stay in a business that becomes less rewarding as time goes on.

That’s why I always advocate people work double time during the great times but it always seems like people work less and then go balls out when times are tough.

That’s called making hay while the sun shines. The only constant in this business is that things will change at some point

Park and then what? And for how long? It's a good thing I can do other things and be busy if I wanted to, I mean, I can park now and make enough working in a trade. What about those who has no such option? It will pass, every years like this, maybe a bit tougher this time, 2020 spring was even worse, but still.

If you think 2020 was rough, you should have seen 08 during the recession, this looks as if it could be worse. Those running a tight ship, will survive and prosper on the other side.

    What's the story with 2008?
Fuel was right about $4.5 - $5 per gal, what were the average rates?
