i have to say i have alot of respect for you because you dont always have the same opinion as most people and you give a good argument for the way you see things. those are the best people to have around in life. is ones that can see it from a different side of the fence and dont just budge to the other persons opinions because you dont wanna hurt their feelings. me and you have had a lot of good honest debates and i appreciate seeing things from a different perspective

Oh yeah. Worked like a charm. And it wasn't too bad. Been about 12 years since last time I had lapped one. Done it on a mower in high-school shop class.

To throw my worthless two pence into the tip discussion..

I feel it's this simple: If you agree to work for X dollars plus Tips, then you need to provide service to customers that's going to earn that tip. I completely understand where Shooter is coming from on the angle of why tip people who show up to work, but can't even be bothered to put forth a modicum of effort to earn the tip.

I'm not saying the person needs to treat me like royalty. A smile, some small talk, some attentiveness and a good vibe go a long way into making me want to leave a few extra bucks on the table. Treat me like I'm being an inconvenience for showing up at your place of employment and bothering you into doing your job... Nah, you can forget a tip.

Been to places overseas where tipping wasn't expected, and it was actually appreciated. Meanwhile in the USA there's this mentality that it's "mandatory" to tip, so why put in the work?

    As an anecdote..

Oregon doesn't let us pump our own gas at the station. Have to have an attendant come do that for you. There's one 76 Station that I frequent because it's Mom and Pop independently owned and has a pretty cool Bait and Tackle shop. I've never had a negative experience there. It's also the ONLY gas station in town where they'll wash your windshield if it needs it while the tank fills. Fuel price is a bit higher than elsewhere, but I pay it because of the prompt service and friendly employees. I've also given tips to the guys there because they earn it.

Lol, the shop class mower. That takes me back! I think every shop class in the country is the same. We actually had a vocational school separate from our high-school. It offered certificates after graduation. So junior and senior year of high school you were bussed over there for half a day. Good stuff, learned alot. For construction, the seniors build a house and sell it. That money provides the funds for the next year's class. Good times.

Exactly this. If you deserve the tip you'll get one. If you either pester the #### out of me or let things go unnoticed or are unattentive then your tip will reflect that.

You know what's depressing. I was all stoked to shoot some hogs. Because we obviously don't have them in Idaho. I've shot them before on friends ranches in Texas, but never at my own place. Well guess what.....you can't shoot wild hogs in MO!.......ever! Wtf is up with that?

You can shoot em on private land, but is discouraged because they say it scatters them and makes it harder to trap them.

You can't shoot them on any land under control of the state or federal government.

My buddy lives in the north west corner of Missouri and I looked into it because of all the hogs I see bow hunting whitetails at his place.

No she don't. That blistering blue nosed sunny beach could stop blowing for a change! It's screwing with me mentally already I think.
