So here’s one for ya since y’all have been talking about this lately.

Get done this afternoon in Florence, SC. Head into the restroom to wash my hands/face/glasses before sitting down to eat — turn the corner and there’s this guy down to his underwear in front of the mirror, barefoot n all. Changing.

Not sure if it was a driver or a mechanic or just somebody that felt it was necessary to do this in front of everybody and not in a bathroom stall or a shower…


People man.

 

Define, "Fast Food".
McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Golden Corral etc.. are fast food. Tip - No. (They now get near $15.00/hour) As previously mentioned, I don't go to these places if at all possible.
Sit down restaurants - not just a sitting area after getting your own food from a line, are not fast food, and yes, I tip them. Carry outs from these establishments as well..a few dollars for their trouble.

 

I sense there is a double entendre in there somewhere, but hesitate to insinuate it.

Only once. I’m still not convinced, but I don’t want to seem pretentious.

 

Ooooohhhhh.....ahhhhhhh....and folks wonder why I want to come back out on the road.

 

Humility is definitely your forte, as is your slack jaw sense of humor in your writing.

 

I was talking with a lady at the truck show about possibly moving our truck to their company. She saw us as we were politely accepting the recruiters business card and came out to meet us. Her reason... she wants people that don't look, sound, or smell like truck drivers, which is why she wanted to meet us herself.
