They can be used for quite a few things.
Fine grinds can be mixed into hot asphalt, then added to the aggregate.
Running tracks and base for artificial turf. School’s primarily. Also mats for around play structures.

Over on rail connect drive in Columbia City where I delivered to, they take the shredded tires, form them into bricks then send them over to the plant and they are used to make those steel beams.

Another wood load, it’s crazy what they are paying to ship wood these days…now if only the tarp hadn’t blown off twice. Thanks to the S&S driver who helped me out :).

Did you forget to throw some straps to thread the tarp through, first? Like we discussed in the tarping thread?
    :biggrin_255:
Nice tarp job, though...and additional thanks to that driver that assisted from S&S. :)

No that might have been a good idea, they have a tarpping area with fall protection and I couldn’t get off the load fast enough to catch the end. The second time was when I had help so we just fixed it and I helped him with his tarp. :)

JonJon78, D.Tibbitt, Gatordude and 4 others Thank this.

I hear you. I know that fall protection is in their best interest, and supposedly in ours, but the job is a lot harder and more dangerous to me with that extra stuff in the way so that you can't do the job.
I'm glad you had help and he also. :) Still, very nice job and good example for the kids on here to pass on the way the flatbedder community should be. :)
